Now you need mortar. You can actually do it yourself. For this purpose, mix best with hydroxyl-lime, Portland cement and coarse sand. Add enough water. The finished mixture should have the consistency consistency of mucus.
Insert the first layer of bricks, ensuring that the mortar does not exceed your intended limits. Fill in the gaps between the bricks with a part of the mixture. In the end, you should get a healthy and solid base.

Otherwise, it is best to use an electric cutting device.
