Ancient elegance with a modern flair
Start with the chimney beautification by first removing the soot and ash from the bricks. You can use a broom or a hard sponge. If the surface is clean enough, first paint with the paint roller in the base color of your choice. With the brush you also reach all the corners that have not got any color yet. Wait until the primer is completely dry. This can take a few hours.

Insert the sponge when entering the accent color. Moisten the sponge with water and wring it well. It’s best to use a sponge the size of the bricks or cut it off as needed.
Pour a bit of accent paint into the paint tray and dip the sponge into it. On the box you can try out whether the sponge is evenly covered with paint. Afterwards, all you have to do is press on each brick to reach the desired intensity of the color.
For most of you, it may well be that the fireplace has already been plastered, or has an iron cladding, for example. Do not worry, you can use the same procedure on the other surfaces as well.
