DIY wall shelf DIY decoration ideas

You will need the following materials:

♦ 2 or more wooden boxes (without lid)

♦ saw

♦ wood glue

♦ Color for wood

♦ Brush

♦ pen and ruler

♦ Wood varnish

♦ Hammer and nails

Step 1

Place both wooden boxes very close together – as you imagine them in the final position. Then use the pen to mark the points where the box should be cut.

Use the saw to cut the corner exactly at the marked points. Now both wooden boxes should fit together well.

step 3

Apply a thin layer of wood glue to both ends where the box has been cut and let it dry, following the instructions on the back of the bottle.

Step 4

Attach the construction with 2 nails on each side, as shown in the picture below. So you are sure that your shelf is stable.

Step 5

Now is time for color! In this step, you can let your creativity run wild. We opted for a subtle paint and have only painted the box edges in bright green. But you could freely choose colors and patterns of your choice.

Step 6

As a last step, paint your new wooden shelf and let it dry. The paint serves as an additional protective layer.
