Trespa® plates and what can be made of them

The Trespa® panels have long since become synonymous with HPL panels. Although other manufacturers also produce this plastic sheet material, the Dutch manufacturer of the same name is one of the world’s leading market leaders. HPL stands for high-pressure laminates. High-pressure laminates).  So exist the Trespa® sheets and therefore also all other HPL sheets basically made of kraft paper or wood fibers, which are compressed in the inner layer of the plate under high pressure and at high temperatures. This makes the core more stable and robust. The outer sides of each HPL plate are then normally impregnated with phenolic resin and then laminated again under high pressure.

Why choose Trespa® boards?

HPL in general has many advantages that favor a buying decision. Initially used only in construction as cladding, windboards or gable boards, the material has long been established in interior design as well as in the advertising industry, especially in the form of advertising boards on the stadiums.

No wonder, because HPL defies not only large temperature fluctuations and UV radiation, but also moisture, dust and dirt. Robust and durable, Trespa® panels are often the first choice for construction projects and design drafts, as well as many smaller DIY projects at home.

The exceptional hardness of the top layer of the material is also very easy and quick to clean. Even graffiti hardly stick to it. Easy maintenance and minimal maintenance are complemented by uncomplicated HPL plate processing. And indeed, these can be edited just like hardwood. Drilling and milling as well as cutting and gluing are easy with the right tools. Thanks to the specific pigmentation, the panels are produced in different shades as well as in wood, stone or metal look.
